Founded by Eleazar Wheelock in the 1800’s this quaint little town boasts a big benefit thanks to its founding father, as any undergraduate accepted to the prestigious Dartmouth College in Lebanon NH who is a Wheelock resident may attend, tuition free. Wheelock has a small village store, town meeting place, and students attend the public school in neighboring Sheffield, the Miller’s run school for K-8. Many can get lost on the back roads running between Wheelock and it’s neighboring town of Sheffield, and the main route running through the town is VT RT 122.
